What is an Avalon Resource?
The web project manager is the leader of a team of individuals with creative and technical skills that creates various projects for the our clients. As project manager, your job is to help manage the entire life of the project, from conception to live online delivery. Each day, you will review the tasks and goals that need to be completed with your team. You will work with the company’s customers in order to deliver the web product that they envision. You will also work with the leaders of the company to create new and innovative web solutions for upcoming projects or situations.
Web Project Manager Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Follow the scope of an online project that goes from the proposal stage, to the technical work up, and finally to the delivery of the web product.
- Participate in the initial conception stage along with a client in order to better meet the needs of the customer and to translate those expectations to employees.
- Design solutions for customer problems related to online commerce, corporate identity or other website presence issues.
- Lead the design process of a website by working with a team of graphic designers, writers and web developers.
- Work to find and solve any problems with the function of a web project by implementing testing processes and working with technical staff in order to address any issues.
- Supervise a team of web professionals by developing effective training procedures, appropriate task assignments, positive customer experiences and top quality control processes.
- Aim to meet all project goals within the specified budget of the client and the organization; adjust practices to reflect cost saving measures.
- Generate periodic project status reports to be presented to company stakeholders; detail data, tasks and processes.
- Develop additional skills, certifications and other banks of knowledge in the Internet industry by attending professional conferences, leading seminars with colleagues and keeping all relative qualifications and certificates up to date.
- Take on new and unproven tasks in order to develop new business ideas and opportunities that help lead the company to future success.

The Agile Project Manager plays a crucial role in facilitating and supporting Agile methodologies within a project team. Their responsibilities revolve around enabling the team to deliver value iteratively and collaboratively while maintaining a focus on customer needs and adapting to change. Key responsibilities of the Agile Project Manager are:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Team Facilitation: The Agile Project Manager facilitates the Agile team’s activities and processes, ensuring that Agile ceremonies (such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives) are organized and productive.
- Product Backlog Management: Collaborate with the product owner to maintain and prioritize the product backlog. Help refine user stories and ensure they are well-defined and actionable for the development team.
- Sprint Planning: Assist in sprint planning by helping the team select and commit to a set of user stories and tasks for the upcoming sprint. Ensure that the team understands the sprint goal and commitments.
- Daily Stand-Ups: Facilitate daily stand-up meetings where team members share progress, discuss impediments, and plan their work for the day. Remove any impediments or roadblocks that the team cannot resolve independently.
- Sprint Reviews: Organize and facilitate sprint review meetings where the team showcases the completed work to stakeholders and collects feedback for continuous improvement.
- Retrospectives: Lead sprint retrospectives to help the team reflect on their processes, identify areas for improvement, and define actionable steps for implementing those improvements.
- Resource Allocation: Manage resources and team capacity, ensuring that the team is not overcommitted and can meet their sprint goals.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage project risks, working with the team to mitigate potential issues and minimize disruptions.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain open and transparent communication with stakeholders, providing updates on project progress, impediments, and any changes to scope or priorities.
- Adaptation to Change: Embrace change and guide the team in responding to changing requirements or priorities. Help the team adjust their plans and backlog as needed.
- Metrics and Reporting: Collect and analyze Agile metrics (e.g., velocity, burndown charts) to track progress and predict future performance. Use data to make informed decisions and improvements.

- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain project documentation, including user stories, acceptance criteria, and project artifacts. Generate reports as needed to keep stakeholders informed.
- Budget and Resource Management: Manage project budgets and allocate resources effectively, ensuring that the team has what it needs to deliver value.
